I'm constantly at a struggle when it comes to cooking salmon, because of it's strong taste and smell. Cooking flavors from south-east Asia and Mexico are my all time favorite so one day I thought of combining the two tastes...and that's how my Salmon Tacos became a staple in my kitchen. The marriage of the few but major ingredients from each cuisine creates the perfect bite. Hope you love it as much as I do!


1 lb salmon (chopped in cubes)
6 whole grain or whole wheat soft tortillas
1 teaspoon oil
3 avocados (sliced)
2 red onions (sliced)
2 tomatoes (sliced)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Sprinkle of taco seasoning (optional)


  1. Marinate salmon for about 20 minutes with salt, pepper, garlic and red chilli powders, soy sauce and brown sugar
  2. Broil salmon Pieces total time 5-7 min
  3. In a pan with heated oil, add sliced onions along with some salt (taco seasoning is optional here) till just about soft
  4. Once salmon is ready place in each tortilla along with onions, tomatoes and avocados
  5. Wrap up and eat warm


Add chopped green chillies or hot sauce for a kick!
