Juicing

Juicing is the process of extracting juice from plant tissues such as fruit or vegetables. There are many methods of juicing, from squeezing fruit by hand to wide scale extraction via industrial equipment. Fruit juicing is generally the more preferred method and is often done with a juicer in most households.
Juicers may be as simple as a cone in which fruit is mashed or as sophisticated as a variable-speed, motor-driven device. The “pressed” juiced has been shown retain the most nutrients as it doesn’t expose the enzymes in the fruits/vegetables to the heat of a motor or blade. However, it also keeps the juice devoid of fiber. Hence it’s important to keep the juicing techniques and types of fruits/vegetables being juiced in mind when making a juice.
